CareMessage launches Outreach Insights, a tool to assess patient engagement effectiveness across messaging topics.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - July 22, 2025 - CareMessage, the non-profit technology leader in health equity, announced the launch of Outreach Insights. This new reporting feature provides healthcare safety-net organizations with visibility into the effectiveness of their patient engagement strategies. In addition, the tool leverages AI categorization to transform how clinics measure, understand, and optimize their communication across millions of patient interactions.

The CareMessage Outreach feature powers one-to-many communication, facilitating over 35 million messages with more than four million patients in the last 12 months alone. For organizations on the front lines of community health, understanding the impact of these conversations previously required a manual and time-intensive process. This limits their ability to rapidly identify trends, measure outcomes, and prove the impact of their work. This new feature directly addresses this critical challenge.

Outreach Insights is the next generation of impact reporting. By using AI to understand the topics within messages, the platform now provides CareMessage users with intuitive, interactive dashboards. The platform pairs these insights with detailed analytics on message delivery, response rates, and opt-out rates. Users can segment this data by other factors like language, message type, and topic. This provides a powerful, multi-dimensional view of patient engagement.

AI-Powered Reporting Tool to Measure and Scale Health Equity Impact

CareMessage Outreach Insights

“Our partners are having millions of conversations with patients every day on topics ranging from diabetes to food access. Outreach Insights gives them the tools to see what’s working, for whom, and why—all in real time. It’s about moving from anecdotal evidence to data-driven action, so every organization can replicate the most effective strategies and build healthier, more equitable communities.”

Orit Mohamed, Director of Product at CareMessage

This launch represents an exponential step forward in the ability to measure the impact of patient engagement on health equity. For example, in the last 12 months, CareMessage has seen one to three million messages exchanged in each of the following critical categories: exercise, nutrition, behavioral health, colorectal cancer, financial assistance, and food access. With Outreach Insights, a clinic can now instantly filter all communications related to “Colorectal Cancer Screening.” Then, they can analyze patient engagement rates across different languages or message types. This allows them to refine their strategy in minutes, not days. This new feature makes it easier than ever for our partners to send the right message, to the right patient, at the right time.
